Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification (as on 22.09.2026)

JE (Civil): Degree in Civil Engineering OR 3-year Diploma in Civil Engineering with 2 years experience.
JE (Electrical/Mechanical): Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering OR 3-year Diploma with 2 years experience.
JE (Telecom): Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Technology in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Science/IT/Instrumentation.
Scientific Assistant (IMD): Bachelor's Degree in Science with Physics OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/IT/Electronics.
Qualifications must be from a recognized University/Institute.

Age Limit (as on 01.08.2026)

For 30 Years Posts: Born between 02.08.1996 and 01.08.2008
For 32 Years Posts: Born between 02.08.1994 and 01.08.2008
Relaxation: SC/ST – 5 years, OBC – 3 years, PwBD – 10/13/15 years, Ex-Servicemen – as per rules.

PwBD & Scribe Guidelines

Eligible PwBD categories: VI, HI, OC, MD/ID as per post suitability.
Scribe Facility: Available for eligible candidates – must opt in online application.
Scribe Registration: Scribe must complete OTR on SSC website.
Compensatory Time: 20 minutes per hour for eligible candidates.
Scribe Qualification: One step below the candidate's qualification.
