The Government of Odisha has approved the restructuring of the Odisha Finance Service (OFS) cadre by creation of additional 104 posts in different grades to address increased responsibilities (Financial Advisors, GST enforcement, Local Fund Audit strengthening), new institutions/Universities/ULBs, and to reduce stagnation in promotions for OFS and OT&AS officers.
The total cadre strength of Odisha Finance Service is now enhanced to 1016 posts (including Leave/Training/Deputation Reserve).

The principle of interchangeability of posting shall be followed in the grades of OFS-I(JB) & OFS-I(SB), OFS-I(SB) & OFS(SG), OFS(SG) & OFS(SAG), and OFS(SAG) & OFS(SS), subject to maintaining seniority of the reporting officer and other senior officers in the PAR chain. This provides flexibility for posting experienced officers in key field and secretariat positions as per Government needs.
