What is GIS advance ?
Odisha Government Group Insurance Scheme is meant to provide a certain amount to its employee basing on their category in case of death. Employee has to deposit one time quantum amount for this insurance. In order to relieve employee to deposit all the fee at one go, government sanction the amount in favour of the employee on once and then the sanctioned amount is recovered from the monthly salary of the employee in equal installments subject to a maximum of 10 installments.

In pursuance of Education Department Notification No. 4578/Edu dated 12.05.2024, I have assumed charge as Under Secretary in the Education Department on 13.05.2024 (F.N.).
I kindly request that the necessary amount of GIS (Group Insurance Scheme) advance be sanctioned in my favor and the same may be recovered from my salary in equal installments. I would be grateful if the required differential amount of advance be sanctioned in my favour towards one time GIS deduction and obliged.
