The Governor has been pleased to decide that cash equivalent of accumulated leave upto a maximum period of 180 days shall be payable to the family of the deceased where a Government servant dies while in service.

Key Provisions:

• Applicable only in cases where a Government servant dies while in active service.
• The maximum limit for encashment is 180 days of Earned Leave.
• Necessary amendment to the Orissa Leave Rules, 1966 will follow.
