❓ Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to visit a government office to apply for these certificates?
Most certificates — income, resident, SEBC, OBC, birth — can be applied for entirely online through your state's e-District portal. You only need to visit an office if verification fails or documents need physical submission.
How long does a driving licence renewal take?
Online renewal through Parivahan Sewa usually takes 7–15 working days. If your licence expired more than a year ago, you may need to appear for a test at your RTO, which adds time.
Is ROR download free on Bhulekh?
Yes. Downloading your Record of Rights (ROR) from the Bhulekh portal is free. There may be a small fee for certified copies obtained from the Tahasil office.
Can I apply for a certificate without an Aadhaar card?
Most state portals currently require Aadhaar for identity verification. Without Aadhaar, you may need to apply offline at the relevant office with alternative ID proof — a voter ID, PAN card, or passport.
What documents are needed for land partition?
Typically: ROR copy, land map/sketch, identity proof, and a joint application signed by all co-owners. Requirements vary slightly by district; check the OLR Act Section 19(1)(c) guide for the exact list.
