Why the Protest is Being Held
- Normal Timeline Missed: DA for July-September is normally announced in the last week of September, with arrears disbursed in the first week of October before Puja festivals.
- October Salary Impact: The updated DA was supposed to be given along with October salary — still not announced.
- Prior Letter Sent: Confederation already wrote to the Cabinet Secretary vide letter C.No. 7/2026-29 dated 24.9.2026 requesting DA declaration.
- No Government Decision Yet: Till date, the Government has not decided on the DA/DR due from 1.7.2026.
- Agitational Program Called: As a result, Confederation has decided to organise Lunch Hour Demonstration at all workplaces.
Resolution to be Adopted
"This meeting held today on 16th October 2026 in front of the Office by the CCGEW-Unit/Branch in response to the call of the Confederation of Central Government Employees and Workers during the Lunch Hour Demonstration resolves the Government to release the DA/DR with effect from 01.07.2026 immediately to the Employees and Pensioners of all the Central Government Departments."
