To manage the worsening financial condition, the State Government has decided to suspend certain benefits while enhancing others.

1. Suspension of Benefits:

• The facility of Surrender Leave encashment is suspended with effect from 1st April 2002 until further notice.
• Leave Travel Concession (LTC) is also suspended with effect from 1st April 2002.

2. Enhancement of Limit:

• The upper limit for encashment of unutilised Earned Leave at the time of retirement is enhanced from 240 days to 300 days.
• This enhanced ceiling applies to all employees who retire on or after 30th September, 2002.
• It does not apply to employees who retired earlier.
