Eligibility Criteria

  • Age Limit: 21 to 42 years as on 01.01.2026 (born between 02.01.1984 and 01.01.2005). Relaxations: ST/Women/Ex-Servicemen – 5 years; PwBD – 10 years (cumulative for ST PwBD).
  • Educational Qualification: Graduation with Odia as Honours OR Graduation with English as Honours and Odia as Pass/Compulsory subject OR Post-Graduation in Odia and Graduation in Law (LLB) from a recognized University.
  • Experience (for age relaxation up to 45 years): 7 years of service (Group C/B) OR 3 years of service with at least 1 year in translation work in any Department of Government.
  • Citizenship: Must be a citizen of India.
  • Character & Health: Must be of good character, sound health and free from organic defects.

  • HSC/Equivalent Certificate (Date of Birth).
  • +2/Intermediate Certificate.
  • Graduation Certificate (Odia/English Honours or Pass).
  • Post-Graduation Certificate (if applicable).
  • LLB Degree Certificate (if applicable).
  • Mark Sheets of all examinations (with conversion certificate if grades are awarded).
  • Caste Certificate (ST – by birth, for Odisha only).
  • Disability Certificate (PwBD – 40% or more permanent).
  • Ex-Servicemen Release Certificate (as per rules).
  • No Objection Certificate (NOC) – if currently employed in Government service.
  • Experience Certificate (if claiming age relaxation under Para-4).
  • 4 recent passport size photographs (same as uploaded).
  • Proof of Identity (Aadhar, Voter ID, PAN, Passport, Driving License).

Important Instructions

  • Application Fee: ₹700 for all except SC/ST/PwD (exempted). Fee refunded only to candidates who appear in both papers of Written Examination.
  • How to Apply: Online applications only through OPSC website (https://opsc.gov.in) from 03.07.2026 to 03.08.2026 (5:00 PM). No other mode accepted.
  • Last Date: 03.08.2026 (5:00 PM) for submission of registered online application.
  • Exam Date: 22nd November 2026 (Sunday). Written exam will be held at Cuttack.
  • Admit Card: Will be uploaded on the OPSC website. Candidates must download and bring to the exam centre.
  • NOC: Government servants must obtain NOC and inform their Head of Office.
  • ST Certificate: Only ST by birth of Odisha are eligible. Certificates showing "wife of" not accepted for women.
  • Pension: New recruits will be covered under Contributory Pension Scheme (NPS) w.e.f. 01.01.2005.
  • Canvassing: Any form of canvassing will result in disqualification.
