Note: Out of 8 vacancies, 02 posts of Jr. Clerk meant for UR category have been kept reserved for Group-D employees including Process Servers. Includes backlog vacancy. Vacancies may increase or decrease. Reservation for Women/PwD/Ex-Servicemen/Sports Persons as per rules.
Eligibility Criteria
For Junior Clerk-cum-Copyist
- Nationality: Citizen of India.
- Educational Qualification: Passed at least +3 examination (or equivalent) from a recognized University.
- Computer Diploma: Passed at least Diploma in Computer Application from a recognized institute.
- Age Limit: Above 18 years and below 42 years as on 07.08.2026. Relaxation for reserved categories as per rules.
- Odia Language: Must be able to speak, read and write Odia. Must have passed a test in Odia equivalent to M.E. Standard.
- Character: Must be of good character.
- Health: Must be of sound health and free from organic defects.
- Marital Status: Must not have more than one spouse living.
- Criminal Antecedent: No criminal antecedent on the date of application.
Date of birth entered in High School Certificate or equivalent certificate will only be accepted.
Selection Process & Exam Scheme
For Junior Clerk-cum-Copyist
Manner of Selection
- Career merit lists shall be prepared based on total percentage of marks in HSC, +2 & +3 examinations.
- Candidates up to 20 times of actual vacancy in each category shall be called for written test.
- Based on written test marks, candidates up to 10 times of vacancy in each category shall be called for Computer Science (Practical) Test.
- Candidates qualified in practical test shall be called for Viva-Voce.
Detailed Syllabus
I. English (100 Marks)
- Essay Writing: 30 Marks
- Letter/Application Writing: 20 Marks
- Translation (Odia to English): 15 Marks
- Translation (English to Odia): 15 Marks
- Summary of an English Passage: 20 Marks
Standard required: Equivalent to +3 Examination level.
II. Arithmetic (100 Marks)
- Vulgar fractions and decimals
- HCF and LCM
- Simple and Compound Interest
- Simple and Compound Practice
- Percentages, Profit & Loss, Mixtures, Partnership, Average
- Rates and Taxes, Insurance
- Square and Cubic Measures
- Problems on Time & Work and Time & Distance
III. General Knowledge (100 Marks)
- Knowledge of current events
- Everyday observations and experience as expected from an educated person
IV. Computer Science Test (Practical – 100 Marks)
- Text formatting of paragraphs
- Insertion of tables
- Skill to print and save
- File transfer
- Website searching/browsing and downloading
- E-mail usage
- Use of pen drive and other software
- Programmes of accounting
V. Viva-Voce
- Candidate's alertness, general outlook and potential qualities
- Suitability for the post
