- Reports Received: Reports are being received from various Rural Works Divisions regarding damage/breaches to roads, bridges, culverts and other cross-drainage works due to heavy rainfall and flow of flood water resulting in disruption of traffic and inconvenience to the public.
- Immediate Action: All concerned are instructed to take immediate steps for repair & restoration of the damaged roads and CD works under their jurisdiction, following the prescribed code provisions, to restore traffic movement as early as possible.
- Monitoring: EICs are instructed to closely monitor the situation in vulnerable areas and ensure that necessary preventive as well as restoration measures are taken up promptly, wherever necessary, without compromising safety and quality.
- Cautionary Measures: Adequate cautionary measures, including barricading, warning signs and traffic diversion arrangements, shall be provided at affected locations till normalcy is restored.
- Reporting: A detailed report indicating the nature and extent of damage, restoration measures undertaken, along with geo-tagged photographs, shall be furnished to this Department for further course of action.
- Issuing Authority: The order has been issued by Yamini Sarangi, IAS, Commissioner-cum-Secretary to Government, Rural Works Department, Odisha.
- Addressees: The order is addressed to EIC-I, RW, Odisha, Bhubaneswar and EIC-II, RW, Odisha, Bhubaneswar.
