Vacancy Details

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification (as on closing date)

• Tradesman Mate: Matriculation / 10th Pass from a recognized Board[reference:17]
• Fireman: Matriculation / 10th Pass from a recognized Board[reference:18]
• Junior Office Assistant (JOA): 12th Pass from a recognized Board or University + English Typing @ 35 w.p.m. or Hindi Typing @ 30 w.p.m.[reference:19]
• Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS): Matriculation / 10th Pass from a recognized Board[reference:20]
• Material Assistant: Bachelor's Degree in any stream from a recognized University[reference:21]

Age Limit (as on closing date)

• For all posts: 18 to 25 Years (Age relaxation for reserved categories as per Government rules)
• Relaxation: SC/ST – 5 years, OBC – 3 years, PwBD – 10 years, Ex-Servicemen – as per Govt. guidelines.

Exam Pattern

Written Examination (For all posts)

All questions will be objective multiple choice type[reference:22].

Syllabus

• General Intelligence & Reasoning: Analogy, Coding Decoding, Series, Blood Relations, Direction Series, Classification, Venn Diagram, Non-Verbal Series, Shuffle Test etc.
• General Awareness: Indian History, Geography, Indian Polity, Indian Economy, General Science, Current Affairs (National & International), Defence Related News.
• Numerical Aptitude: Number System, Simplification, Percentage, Profit & Loss, Ratio & Proportion, Time & Work, Time & Distance, Data Interpretation etc.
• English Language: Grammar, Vocabulary, Sentence Structure, Synonyms, Antonyms, Comprehension, Spelling Errors etc.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET) – Wherever Applicable

• 1.6 Km Run: Within 6 Minutes 30 Seconds
• Beam (Pull Up): Minimum 6 Pull Ups
• 9 Feet Dist: Qualify
• Zig-Zag Balance: Qualify

PET is applicable for posts like Fireman, Tradesman Mate, etc. as per notification.

Selection Process

• Stage 1: Written Examination (100 Marks)
• Stage 2: Physical Efficiency Test (PET) – Wherever applicable
• Stage 3: Typing Test – Only for Junior Office Assistant (JOA)[reference:23]
• Stage 4: Document Verification
• Stage 5: Medical Examination[reference:24]

Important Instructions

• Application Mode: Online only at aocrecruitment.gov.in[reference:25]
• One Post Only: Candidates can apply for only one post.
• Application Fee: As per Government rules (check official notification).
• Exam Centres: Will be intimated in the Admit Card.
• Probation: As per AOC rules.
• All India Service Liability: Selected candidates are liable to be posted anywhere in India.
• No TA/DA: Candidates to make own arrangements for tests.
• Court Jurisdiction: As per AOC notification.
• Canvassing: In any form will lead to disqualification.

• Class 10th / Matriculation Certificate (Date of Birth Proof)
• Educational Qualification Certificates (10th/12th/Degree)
• Caste Certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS) in prescribed format
• Disability Certificate (PwBD) – 40% or higher
• Ex-Servicemen Discharge Certificate (if applicable)
• Typing Certificate (for JOA post, if applicable)
