  • Posts & Vacancies: ISRO invites online applications for Assistant (Post No.1), Junior Personal Assistant (Post No.2), Upper Division Clerk (Post No.3), and Stenographer (Post No.4) across various ISRO Centres, DOS Branch Secretariat, and Autonomous Bodies under Department of Space.
  • Educational Qualification:
    Assistant / UDC: Graduation with minimum 60% marks or CGPA of 6.32 on a 10-point scale from a recognized University, completed within stipulated duration. Proficiency in Computers is mandatory.
    JPA / Stenographer: Graduation with minimum 60% marks OR Diploma in Commercial/Secretarial Practice with 60% marks, plus one-year experience as Steno-Typist/Stenographer, minimum speed of 60 w.p.m. in English Stenography, and proficiency in Computers.
  • Age Limit: 28 years as on 2020.08.2026 (31 years for OBC, 33 years for SC/ST). Age relaxation for Government employees, Ex-Servicemen, PwBD, meritorious Sportspersons, widows, divorced women, and women judicially separated from husbands as per Govt. of India orders.
  • Application Fee: ₹500 (Processing Fee). The Application Fee of ₹100 is deducted from the processing fee for all candidates. Full refund for SC/ST, PwBD, Women, and Ex-Servicemen candidates who appear in the Written Test/CBT.
  • Selection Process:
    Assistant / UDC: Written Test (Objective Type, 150 minutes) → Skill Test (Computer Literacy Test).
    JPA / Stenographer: Written Test (Objective Type, 150 minutes) → Skill Test (Computer Literacy Test + Stenography Test).
    Qualifying Marks: UR – 50% in Written Test; Reserved – 40%. Skill Test: UR – 60%; Reserved – 50%.
  • Pay Scale: Selected candidates will be appointed in Level 4 of Pay Matrix with minimum basic pay of ₹25,500/- per month. DA, HRA, Transport Allowance, New Pension Scheme, medical facilities, subsidised canteen, limited quarters, LTC, Group Insurance, House Building Advance, etc. are admissible.

  • How to Apply: Applications will be received ONLINE ONLY through the ISRO website. Candidates must upload a recent colour passport size photograph and signature in .jpg/.jpeg format.
  • Exam Venues: Written Test will be conducted at 38 venues across India including Agartala, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, Patna, Pune, etc.

Important Points to Note

  • Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.
  • CGPA Conversion: Conversion of CGPA into percentage is NOT permitted to determine eligibility. The CGPA mentioned in the Degree Certificate must meet ISRO's eligibility criteria directly.
  • Experience for JPA/Stenographer: Apprenticeship Training Certificate (BOAT) under National Apprenticeship Training Scheme is considered equivalent to one year of experience.
  • Multiple Applications: Candidates may apply for multiple posts under different zones, but cannot apply for the same post in different zones.
  • NOC Requirement: Candidates employed under Central/State Government, PSUs, Autonomous Bodies must submit No Objection Certificate at the time of Skill Test.
  • Refund of Processing Fee: The processing fee will be refunded only to those candidates who appear in the Written Test/CBT. Refund will be made to the bank account details provided in the application.
  • Answer Keys: Answer Keys will be published on the ISRO website within three working days of the Written Test. Objections can be raised within 5 days through the provided link.
  • Canvassing: Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
