Application Fee

• General / OBC / EWS: ₹1500/- plus Transaction Charges
• SC / ST: ₹800/- plus Transaction Charges
• PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities): Exempted from payment of fee
• Payment Mode: Online (Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking). Payment through UPI may be avoided.
• Fee once paid shall not be refunded.

Category-wise Breakup

PwBD reserved posts: 10 (OA, OL, CP, LC, Dw, AAV, SLD, MD involving OA, OL, CP, LC, Dw, AAV, SLD). Vacancies are provisional and subject to variation.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification (as on 03.10.2026)

• Essential: B.Sc. (Hons) in Nursing from a recognized University or Institute.
• Candidates must possess the essential qualification on or before the closing date of online application (03.10.2026).
• Diplomas/Degrees/Certificates awarded through Open and Distance Learning mode must be UGC-recognized for the relevant period.

Age Limit (as on 03.10.2026)

• Minimum: 18 years | Maximum: 35 years
• Date of Birth as recorded in Matriculation/Secondary Examination Certificate only will be accepted.
• Relaxation: SC/ST – 5 years, OBC – 3 years, PwBD – 10 years, PwBD + SC/ST – 15 years, PwBD + OBC – 13 years.
• Central Govt. Civilian Employees (Group B): 10 years (5+5) subject to conditions.
• Permanent employees of PGIMER, Chandigarh: 10 years (max age at least 2 years less than superannuation).
• Ex-Servicemen: As per Government rules (Group B posts).
• Maximum age of PwBD candidate after relaxation shall not exceed 56 years on the crucial date.

Exam Pattern

Computer Based Test (CBT)

For PwBD, qualifying criteria as per their caste category. Reserved category candidates applying for UR post need 40%. Syllabus as per prescribed educational qualification/professional course.

Selection Process

• Computer Based Test (CBT): 100 MCQs, 100 marks, 100 minutes. Negative marking 0.25.
• Shortlisting: 3 × No. of posts + ties (plus reserved category candidates above UR cut-off).
• Scrutiny of Applications: Documents uploaded will be scrutinized. Eligibility notice uploaded on website.
• Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates called personally with originals.
• Final Selection: Based on merit in CBT only. No interview for Group 'B' posts.

PwBD & Scribe Guidelines

• Eligible PwBD categories: OA, OL, CP, LC, Dw, AAV, SLD, MD involving these.
• Scribe Facility: Available for blindness, locomotor disability (both arms affected) & cerebral palsy. Others on production of certificate.
• Scribe Qualification: At least matriculate or one step below the candidate's qualification.
• Compensatory Time: 20 minutes per hour (minimum 5 minutes, multiples of 5).
• Scribe Arrangement: Candidates must arrange scribe on their own. No scribe will be provided by PGIMER.
• Intimation: Must inform PGIMER via email aorcpgi@gmail.com while filling online application.

• Caste Certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL) in prescribed format
• EWS Income & Asset Certificate (issued 01.04.2026 to 03.10.2026)
• Disability Certificate (PwBD) – 40% or higher
• Experience Certificate(s), if applicable
• No Objection Certificate (NOC) from present employer (if Govt./Semi-Govt./Autonomous Body)
• Recent passport size photographs (snapped on or after 01.07.2026)

Important Instructions

• Application Mode: Online only at pgimer.edu.in
• Registration: Fill Registration Form carefully – details cannot be changed once registered.
• Photograph: JPEG format, 50–80 KB, snapped on or after 01.07.2026, with name & date printed on it.
• Multiple Applications: Duplicate applications will result in cancellation of all.
• NOC: Government employees must forward application through proper channel and produce NOC.
• Admit Card: Available for download approximately one week before exam. Not sent by post.
• Exam Centres: Choice of city on first-come first-serve basis. Once allotted, cannot be changed.
• Prohibited Items: Mobile phones, electronic devices, watches, wallets, ornaments, etc. not allowed in exam hall.
• No TA/DA admissible for document verification.
• Jurisdiction: Chandigarh Courts only.
