Background & Purpose

  • Subject: Revision of monetary limit towards expenditure on light refreshment served in the meeting / discussion.
  • Previous Order: The monetary limit was last fixed vide F.D.O.M. No. 34763 dated 14.12.2021.
  • Reason for Revision: Due to rising prices, the cost of light refreshment has increased.
  • Decision: Taking into consideration the above facts and in supersession of the previous OM, the State Government has been pleased to enhance the monetary limit of expenditure towards light refreshment served in meetings/official discussions.
  • Applicability: The revised limits apply to meetings/discussions convened by officers in the rank of:
    • Chief Secretary / Additional Chief Secretary
    • Principal Secretary / Commissioner-cum-Secretary
    • Special Secretaries / Additional Secretaries
    • Equivalent rank officers in Heads of Departments, District Offices, and other offices.
  • Effective Date: This order shall take effect from the date of issue (16.09.2023).
