Maximum Price Limits (Exclusive of Taxes)

New EVs shall be purchased strictly within the following price limits based on the rank of the officer:

₹30 Lakh
Hon'ble Governor / CM /
Chief Justice / Ministers
₹25 Lakh
Chief Secretary /
Secy to Govt (ACS/PS)
₹20 Lakh
District Judge /
Collector / SP

Mandatory Conditions

  • Finance Concurrence: Procurement of EVs shall be made only after prior concurrence of the Finance Department.
  • Scrapping First: New EVs shall be procured only after completion of the prescribed lifespan and condemnation/scrapping of the existing vehicle.
  • One Officer One Vehicle: This principle shall be strictly adhered to while procuring EVs.
  • Petrol Vehicles Ban: Procurement of petrol/diesel vehicles shall be allowed only under exceptional circumstances w.e.f 1st June 2026.
  • Scope: These instructions apply to all Government, Government-supported Undertakings, Institutions, Universities, and Societies under the State Government.
