Key Notification Directives
- All Saturdays Declared Holiday: In supersession of the earlier Notification dated 23 June 2017, the State Government has decided to declare all the Saturdays of every month as government holiday.
- Austerity Measure: This decision has been taken in pursuance of the appeal made by the Hon'ble Prime Minister of India as an austerity measure for achieving economy in government expenditure.
- Office Timings Revised: The State Government has further decided to revise the office timings from 9.30 AM to 6.00 PM instead of the existing 10 AM to 5.30 PM.
- Lunch Time Unchanged: The official lunch time shall remain unchanged from 1.30 PM to 2.00 PM.
- Energy Saving Objective: These measures will reduce electricity and fuel consumption in government offices through strict energy-saving measures.
- Dissemination: All concerned authorities are requested to bring the matter to the notice of all employees/staff under their control and also to display this Notification on their notice boards for information of all concerned.
- Immediate Effect: This notification will take immediate effect and shall be subject to change/modification as per necessity.
