  • Legal Authority: Order issued under Section 34 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005 by the Collector & District Magistrate, Kataka – cum – Chairperson, District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Kataka.
  • Weather Warning: Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar has issued an "Orange Warning" with prediction of heavy to very heavy rainfall for Kataka District, valid up to 08:30 hrs IST of 06.07.2026.

  • Closure of Sand Sairat Sources: Operation of Sand Sairat Sources in the District shall be closed till further order.
  • Penalty: Any violation of this order shall be dealt with strictly under sections 51 to 60 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005, and other applicable laws.
  • Effective Date: This order shall come into force immediately.
