Eligibility Criteria

For Technician-B & Draughtsman-B

  • Educational Qualification: SSLC/SSC/Matriculation + ITI/NTC/NAC in the relevant trade (Electronics Mechanic / Carpenter / Draughtsman Civil / Draughtsman Mechanical) from NCVT.
  • Age Limit: 18–35 years as on 20.07.2026. Relaxation as per rules (SC/ST: 5 yrs, OBC: 3 yrs, PwBD: 10 yrs, Ex-Servicemen: as per Govt. orders).
  • Physical Standards: Must meet the prescribed standards (Sitting, Standing, Walking, Bending, Lifting, etc.).

For Technical Assistant & Scientific Assistant

  • Educational Qualification: First Class Diploma in relevant Engineering (Electronics & Communication / Mechanical) for Technical Assistant; First Class B.Sc. with Computer Science / Mathematics as main subject for Scientific Assistant.
  • Age Limit: 18–35 years as on 20.07.2026. Relaxation as per rules.
  • Note: Candidates with Professional courses through Open and Distance Learning (ODL) are not eligible for Technical Assistant.

For Library Assistant - A

  • Educational Qualification: Graduate in First Class + First Class Master's degree in Library Science / Library & Information Science or equivalent from recognized University/Institution.
  • Age Limit: 18–35 years as on 20.07.2026.

For Cook - A

  • Educational Qualification: SSLC/SSC pass or its equivalent.
  • Experience: 5 years experience in a similar capacity as cook in a well-established hotel/canteen. Experience certificates from individuals will not be accepted.
  • Age Limit: 18–35 years as on 20.07.2026.

Candidates must also be able to speak, read and write Odia and have passed Middle School standard (if applicable). For all posts, candidates must be of good character and sound health.

Documents to be Uploaded

  • Recent colour passport size photograph (not older than 6 months) in .jpg/.jpeg (50-100 KB).
  • Signature in .jpg/.jpeg (50-100 KB).
  • Essential Qualification Certificates (Mark sheets, Degree/Diploma/ITI certificates).
  • Experience Certificate (for Cook-A).
  • Caste Certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS) if applicable.
  • Disability Certificate (PwBD) if applicable.
  • Ex-Servicemen Discharge Certificate if applicable.
  • No Objection Certificate (NOC) from employer (if employed in Govt/PSU/Autonomous body) – to be submitted at the time of Skill Test.

All documents must be self-attested and uploaded in the online portal. Failure to upload requisite documents will result in rejection.

Important Instructions

  • Application Fee: For Technical Assistant/Scientific Assistant/Library Assistant: ₹250 (non-refundable) + ₹750 processing fee (refundable if appear in CBT). For Technician-B/Draughtsman-B/Cook: ₹100 (non-refundable) + ₹500 processing fee (refundable if appear in CBT). Women, SC/ST, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen are exempt from application fee but must pay processing fee (refundable).
  • How to Apply: Applications will be accepted only through online mode. The link will be active on www.isro.gov.in or www.istrac.gov.in from 27.06.2026 (10:00 AM) to 20.07.2026 (11:55 PM).
  • Refund of Processing Fee: Refunded only to candidates who appear in the Written Test/CBT. Refund amount: after deducting application fee (₹500 for TA/SA/LA, ₹400 for Tech/Draughtsman/Cook).
  • NOC: Candidates employed in Govt/PSU/Autonomous bodies must produce NOC at the time of Skill Test. Failure will lead to disqualification.
  • Age Relaxation: SC/ST: 5 yrs, OBC: 3 yrs (only for reserved posts), PwBD: 10 yrs, Ex-Servicemen: as per rules. EWS candidates are not eligible for any age relaxation.
  • Selection: Initial screening based on academic performance. Shortlisted candidates called for CBT. Qualifying candidates called for Skill Test (1:5 ratio). Final merit based on CBT marks.
  • Posting: Selected candidates may be posted anywhere in India under Department of Space/ISRO.
  • Shifts: Appointees are liable to work in round-the-clock shifts.
