Important Points to Note
- Online Application Only: All applications must be submitted online through the SAMS portal (www.samsodisha.gov.in). No offline applications will be accepted.
- CAF Availability: The Common Application Form will be available from 18th July 2026 (04:00 PM) onwards.
- Editing Window: Candidates can edit their CAF on 31st July 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:45 PM. New CAF submission is not allowed on this day.
- Two Allotment Rounds: There are two rounds of allotment – First Round and Second/Final Round. Candidates must follow the schedule for each round.
- Slide/Freeze Option: Selected candidates must choose Slide or Freeze option and pay admission fees online within the stipulated time.
- Waiting List: After the second round, a waiting list will be published for remaining vacancies. Interested applicants must report in person to the respective HEIs.
- Classes Start: The academic session for 1st Year LLB will commence on 21st August 2026.

What is the admission process for 3-Year LLB in Odisha 2026?
Admission is conducted online through the SAMS portal (www.samsodisha.gov.in). Candidates need to fill the Common Application Form (CAF), participate in two rounds of allotment, and complete admission formalities at the allotted institution.
When does the online CAF become available?
The online CAF will be available from 18th July 2026 at 04:00 PM on the SAMS website.
What is the last date for submitting the online CAF?
The last date for applying online CAF is 30th July 2026 up to 11:45 PM.
Can I edit my CAF after submission?
Yes. Candidates can edit their CAF on 31st July 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:45 PM. However, new CAF submission is not allowed on that day.
When is the first round of allotment?
The provisional allotment for the first round will be published on 06th August 2026 at 02:00 PM.
What is the timeline for fee payment and reporting after allotment?
After the first round allotment (06-Aug), selected candidates must pay fees online and choose Slide/Freeze option from 06-Aug (04:00 PM) to 11-Aug (02:00 PM). Reporting to allotted institutions is from 07-Aug to 11-Aug.
When does the second/final round of allotment take place?
The provisional allotment for the second/final round will be published on 17th August 2026 at 02:00 PM.
What is the waiting list admission process?
After the second round, a waitlist will be published on 24th August 2026. Interested waitlisted applicants must report in person to the respective HEIs on 28-29 August 2026 for document submission. The merit list will be published on 31st August 2026.
When do classes commence for the 1st Year LLB?
The 1st Year Classes for the 3-Year LLB course will commence on 21st August 2026.
