Odisha Government Employees 8th Pay Commission Salary Forecast

The Government of India has recently formed the 8th Central Pay Commission (CPC), which is expected to finalize recommendations within 18 months. These recommendations will impact nearly 50 lakh central government employees and 69 lakh pensioners, and will influence state government pay scales, including Odisha.

Currently, the minimum basic pay for Odisha government employees stands at ₹16,600, while the minimum pension is ₹8,300. The implementation of the 8th Pay Commission is expected to revise these figures significantly.

Projected Salary and Pension Increases Based on Fitment Factors

The revised salary is calculated as Basic Pay × Fitment Factor. Experts suggest fitment factors ranging from 1.8 to 2.86. Below are projected new minimum salaries and pensions for Odisha employees and pensioners:
