This Office Memorandum modifies the earlier OM No.19213 dated 15.12.2009 and updates eligibility criteria for allotment of government residential quarters based on the **revised pay scales 2017** and corresponding Pay Matrix levels.
It ensures fair and transparent allotment aligned with the 7th Pay Commission recommendations.
Eligibility Criteria for Government Quarters Allotment (Revised Pay 2017)

Important Notes:
- Eligibility is strictly based on **basic pay** in the specified Pay Matrix level (not in any other level).
- Lower type quarters may be allotted if higher types are unavailable (unless employee opts out).
- This OM modifies earlier OM No.19213/GA dated 15.12.2009.
