Entitlement of Earned Leave (Account Maintenance)

OM No: 10450 Date: 14th March, 2011 Subject: Entitlement of EL in case of servants other than Vacation Departments

Consequent upon the suspension of encashment of surrender leave benefits, the upper limit of credit and encashment of unutilized Earned Leave was enhanced from 240 days to 300 days w.e.f 1.07.2002 (OM 45439/F & 7351/F).


New Procedure:

In view of the enhancement to 300 days, the procedure for maintaining the Leave Account (laid in OM 24584/F dated 17.05.1995) is now applicable in cases where the Earned Leave at the credit of the Government servant on the last day of December or June is 300 days or less but more than 285 days.


Effective Date: 1st July, 2002.
