Withdrawal of Surrender Leave Benefit

OM No: 7881/F Date: 22nd February, 1993 Subject: Withdrawal of surrender of Earned Leave in lieu of Leave Salary

The State Government introduced the benefit of surrendering Earned Leave in lieu of leave salary and allowances in 1973 (OM No.34642/F) and extended it to police personnel, fire-service, staff of Guest Houses, etc., over time.


Order:

After careful review of all aspects, the Governor has decided that the benefit of surrendering Earned Leave in lieu of leave salary and allowances by State Government employees shall stand withdrawn.


Effective Date: With effect from 1st April, 1993.
