Subject: Sanction of Dearness Allowance @ 2% (increase from 58% to 60%) to State Government Employees.

The Finance Department, Government of Odisha, has officially released the notification regarding the additional installment of Dearness Allowance payable to employees employed under the Revised Scale of Pay, 2017.

         Key Highlights
        Increment Amount: DA increased by 2% over the previous rate.
New Cumulative Rate: The total Dearness Allowance stands at 60% of Basic Pay.
Previous Rate: 58%.
Applicability: Effective from 01 January 2026.
Payment: This additional DA will be paid in cash along with the salary bill for the relevant period.

      

This revision aims to mitigate the impact of inflation and provide relief to the state workforce. The government has ensured that the arrears, if any, will be calculated as per standard procedure and credited to the employees' accounts.
