Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences or Medicine with specialization in Clinical Pharmacology or Microbiology from a recognized University or Institute.
  • Age Limit: 35 years for UR/EWS/SC/ST candidates as on 17.07.2026. Relaxation: PwBD – 10 years; OBC – 3 years (for reserved posts), SC/ST – 5 years (for reserved posts).
  • Experience: No minimum experience required.
  • Citizenship: Indian citizen or subject of Nepal/Bhutan etc. with eligibility certificate.
  • Physical Standards: Must be in sound bodily health and meet prescribed medical standards.

Documents to be Uploaded

  • Matriculation/10th Certificate (Date of Birth).
  • Degree/Diploma Certificate (proof of educational qualification).
  • Mark sheets of all academic years (if provisional certificate).
  • Caste Certificate (SC/ST/OBC) in prescribed format from competent authority.
  • EWS Certificate (if applicable) in prescribed format.
  • Disability Certificate (PwBD) issued by a Medical Board (40% or more).
  • Ex-Servicemen Discharge Certificate (if applicable).
  • Photo ID proof (Aadhaar, Voter ID, PAN, Passport, Driving License).
  • Declaration (if already in Government service) that NOC will be produced.

Upload clear scanned copies in PDF format. Self-attestation required. Original certificates must be produced at the time of interview.

Selection Process

  • Stage 1: Recruitment Test (RT) – Computer Based Test (CBT) of objective type (MCQs).
  • Stage 2: Interview / Personality Test – for candidates shortlisted based on RT performance.
  • Final Selection: Based on combined marks of RT and Interview. Minimum qualifying marks: UR – 50%, OBC – 45%, SC/ST/PwBD – 40% (in interview).
  • Shortlisting: In case of large number of applications, UPSC may use desirable qualifications, higher education, experience, or a recruitment test to shortlist.

The RT will be conducted at various centres across India. Detailed syllabus and pattern will be available in the official notification.

Important Instructions

  • Application Fee: ₹25 (Rupees Twenty-five) for UR/OBC/EWS candidates. Fee exempted for Female, SC, ST, PwBD candidates. No other mode of payment except online (Debit/Credit Card, UPI, Net Banking).
  • How to Apply: Applications are accepted only through the official UPSC Online Application Portal. The link will be active from 27.06.2026 to 17.07.2026 (up to 18:00 hrs).
  • Last Date: 17th July 2026 (18:00 hrs). Applications received after the deadline will not be accepted.
  • Photograph & Signature: Recent passport-size photo (not older than 6 months) and clear signature in prescribed format.
  • NOC: Candidates in Government service must produce NOC from their employer at the time of interview.
  • Age Relaxation: As per UPSC rules: SC/ST – 5 years; OBC – 3 years (for reserved posts); PwBD – 10 years; Ex-Servicemen – 5 years; Central Govt. employees – 5 years.
  • Canvassing: Any form of canvassing will lead to disqualification.
