Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification (as on 31.12.2026)

  • Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University.
  • Candidates in final year/semester may also apply provisionally, subject to producing proof of graduation on or before 31.12.2026.
  • Matriculate Ex-Servicemen with Army Special Certificate of Education (15 years service) are also eligible.

Age Limit (as on 01.04.2026)

  • Minimum: 20 years | Maximum: 28 years
  • Born between: 02.04.1998 to 01.04.2006 (both days inclusive)
  • Relaxation: OBC – 3 years, SC/ST – 5 years, PwBD – 10/13/15 years, Ex-Servicemen – service + 3 years, Widows/Divorced Women – 7 years, Trained Apprentices of SBI – 1 to 16 years.
  • Cumulative age relaxation not available.

Local Language Requirement

  • Must be proficient in the specified local language of the State/UT applied for.
  • Those who have studied the language in 10th or 12th standard are exempted from Language Proficiency Test.
  • Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT) will be conducted before joining – qualifying in nature.

Phase III: Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT) – Qualifying

  • Conducted after Main Examination but before joining.
  • Non-Verbal Test (15 Marks) + Verbal Test (20 Marks) = 35 Marks.
  • Minimum qualifying marks as decided by Bank (5% relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/ExSM).
  • Only for candidates who have not studied the specified local language in 10th or 12th standard.

Important Instructions

  • Application Mode: Online only at SBI Careers Portal
  • One State/UT Only: Apply for vacancies in one State/UT only.
  • No Inter-Circle Transfer: No transfer before completion of 5 years of service.
  • NOC: Government/PSU employees must produce NOC at joining.
  • OBC Certificate: Must have "Non-Creamy Layer" clause, issued on or after 01.04.2026.
  • EWS Certificate: Must be valid for 2026-27 (financial year 2025-26).
  • PwBD Certificate: Must be dated on or before last date of registration.
  • Wait List: Up to 50% of vacancies, valid for one year.

PwBD & Scribe Guidelines

  • Eligible PwBD categories: VI (Blind/Low Vision), HI (Deaf/Hard of Hearing), LD (OA, OL, BA, BL, CP, LC, Dw, AAV, MDy, SD, SI), d&e (ASD-M, SLD, MI), MD.
  • Scribe Facility: Available for candidates with 40% or more disability. Must indicate in online application.
  • Compensatory Time: 20 minutes per hour for eligible candidates (whether availing scribe or not).
  • Less than 40% disability: Can avail scribe with certificate of limitation to write from Government healthcare institution.
  • Scribe Qualification: Should be one step below the candidate's qualification.
