Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Principal: Master's Degree with at least 45% marks + B.Ed. + 10 years teaching experience (including 3 years as PGT).
• PGT (All Subjects): Master's Degree in concerned subject with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/SEBC/PwD) + B.Ed.
• PGT Computer Science: M.Sc (CS/IT) / MCA / M.E / M.Tech (CS/IT) with at least 50% marks.
• TGT (All Subjects): Bachelor's Degree in concerned subject with 50% marks (45% for reserved) + B.Ed. (or 4-year integrated course).
• Art Teacher: Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts/Visual Arts with 50% marks.
• P.E.T: Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education with 50% marks.
• Computer Teacher: B.E./B.Tech (CS/IT) / MCA / M.Sc (IT/CS) / BCA / B.Sc (CS) with 50% marks.
• Common Requirement: Must have passed MIL Odia up to ME standard. Must have OSSTET/OTET-Paper-II/CTET-Paper-II for TGT posts.

• Principal: 32 to 50 Years (Relaxation: SC/ST/Women/SEBC – 5 Years, PwD – 10 Years)
• All Other Posts: 21 to 42 Years (Relaxation: SC/ST/Women/SEBC – 5 Years, PwD – 10 Years)

Negative Marking & Qualifying

• Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer.
• Part I Qualifying: Minimum 5 marks each in English and Odia, and 13 marks in aggregate.
• Final Merit: Based on Part II, III & IV (70% weightage) + Interview (30% weightage).

How to Apply for OAVS Recruitment 2026 (Step-by-Step Guide)

This detailed step-by-step guide will walk you through the OAVS online application process. The application window is open from 12 October 2026 to 11 November 2026 (5:00 PM). Follow these steps carefully to avoid mistakes.

Step 1: Sign Up (Registration)

• Visit the official OAVS website: https://www.oav.edu.in.
• Go to the "How to Apply" section and click on the online application link.
• Accept the terms & conditions by clicking the "I Agree" checkbox and press "Start".
• Sign up with your valid Email ID and Mobile Number. The Password and login details will be sent to your registered Email ID and mobile number.

Step 2: Fill Application Form & Upload Documents

• Re-login using your credentials.
• Fill in Personal Details, Qualification Details, and select your preferred examination centres (3 preferences).
• Upload a recent passport-size colour photograph (JPG/JPEG, up to 100 KB, dimensions approx 200x230 pixels).
• Upload your signature (JPG/JPEG, up to 100 KB, dimensions approx 140x60 pixels).

Step 3: Pay Application Fee

• Proceed to the payment gateway (SBI e-Pay).
• Select your mode of payment (Debit Card / Net Banking).
• Pay the applicable fee based on your post and category.
• Download and save the "System Generated Fee Receipt" for future reference.

Step 4: Download Application Form

• After successful payment, download the auto-generated application form with a unique registration number.
• Keep this printout safe for document verification and interview purposes.

Important Instructions

• Online Only: Applications are accepted through online mode only. No other mode will be entertained.
• One Application Only: Multiple registrations for the same post will lead to cancellation.
• Documents: Upload clear and readable images within the prescribed size limit.
• Selection Process: Computer Based Test (CBT), Interview and Performance Test (where applicable).

• Admit Card: Candidates will have to download their E-Admit Cards from the official website.
• No TA/DA: No travelling allowance will be provided for appearing in tests/interview.
