Paripoorna Mediclaim Ayush Bima CGHS

The Department of Financial Services (DFS), Ministry of Finance, has launched an optional health insurance scheme named Paripoorna Mediclaim Ayush Bima for CGHS beneficiaries. The scheme is designed to complement existing CGHS facilities by expanding medical coverage and providing enhanced financial security.

Who Can Avail the Scheme?

The policy is exclusively available to CGHS beneficiaries, with coverage for up to six family members under a single policy.

Sum Insured ₹10 lakh or ₹20 lakh
Coverage Type Cashless in-patient hospitalization within India
Co-payment Options 70:30 or 50:50 between insurer and subscriber
AYUSH Treatment Covered up to 100% of sum insured (in-patient)
Modern Treatments Covered up to 25%, extendable to 100% with optional rider
Room Rent Cap 1% (Normal) and 2% (ICU) of sum insured per day
Pre & Post Hospitalization 30 days pre, 60 days post
Cumulative Bonus 10% per claim-free year (up to 100%)
GST No GST applicable

Premium Advantage

Compared to regular health insurance policies, beneficiaries will receive a discount of 28% (70:30) and 42% (50:50) due to the co-payment structure.

Availability

The policy will be available for purchase through New India Assurance Company Limited, both offline and online, shortly.
