District Visit Programme for Secretaries & Senior Officers, Odisha Government

Subject: District Visit Programme for Secretaries / Senior Officers (January–March 2026)
Secretaries and Senior Officers of the State Government have been allotted districts as mentioned in Annexure-I till March 2026. Officers are encouraged to plan a 2–3 day visit to the allotted district at least once during the period and spend one night at the District/Sub-Divisional Headquarters.
During the visit, officers shall review implementation of State and Centrally Sponsored
Schemes and interact directly with citizens and field-level institutions.
Key Areas to be Covered During District Visits
- Supervision of important Government schemes and infrastructure projects
- Visits to inaccessible, tribal and PVTG dominated areas (even on foot if required)
- Visit at least one Gram Panchayat to assess saturation of welfare schemes
- Review pending Mega Drinking Water Projects
- Identify causes of delay and suggest remedial measures
- Inspect food quality in ST/SC Hostels, MDM schools, Aahar Kendras or orphanages
- Interact with patients, beneficiaries, students and hostel inmates
- Verify constitution of ICC in institutions and offices
- Review DMF & OMBADC projects in DMF districts
- Hold review meeting with District Level Officers after field visit
- Special review of Aspirational Districts and Aspirational Blocks
- Interact with junior officers including IAS Officer Trainees
- Upload visit notes on Par-e-Darshan Portal after each visit
