In inviting a reference to the subject cited above, the undersigned is directed to enclose a copy of Notification No. 435/E&IT dated 08.02.2021 issued by the Electronics & Information Technology Department, Government of Odisha.

Recognition of OS-CIT Qualification

As per the notification, OS-CIT shall be considered as valid computer proficiency qualification for the purpose of eligibility in any recruitment conducted by:

• State Government Departments
• Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs)
• Other Government Agencies
• Semi-Government Organizations

Where qualifications such as DCA / PGDCA from Universities, AICTE-recognised Institutions or NIELIT ‘O’ Level are prescribed, OS-CIT shall also be treated as eligible.

Instructions to Departments

All Departments are requested to circulate the enclosed Government Notification to:

• Subordinate offices
• Government agencies
• Public Sector Undertakings
• Recruitment agencies under their administrative control

This is to ensure strict compliance with the Government notification while conducting recruitment processes.
