Revised Deadlines for Submission of Bills in Treasuries – FY 2025-26

In continuation of earlier Finance Department Letter No.3653/F dated 10.02.2026, the Government has further revised the deadlines for submission of bills/claims in Treasuries/Sub-Treasuries for the remaining part of FY 2025-26.
This is to avoid rush of expenditure at year-end, regulate phased submission, and maintain fiscal discipline.
Revised Deadlines for Submission of Bills / Claims in Treasuries

Critical Instructions:
- Expenditure sanction necessary for these items/claims should be issued **on or before** the above deadlines for incurring expenditure.
- The last date for **issue of sanction order** for incurring expenditure on these items is the same as the last date for submission of related bills in the Treasury/Sub-Treasury.
- **No further relaxation** will be granted in these deadlines.
- Departments must take timely steps to avoid rush and ensure effective financial management.
- Strict compliance is mandatory.
