In continuation of earlier letters, the Higher Education Department has issued fresh instructions for all Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to organize specific activities during **Odia Pakhya 2026** (1st to 14th April 2026).
Additional Activities Directed by Higher Education Department
- 5th April: Organisation of Marathon / Rally to promote awareness on safety and security of heritage places and monuments. HEIs to coordinate with District Sports Officer and ensure student participation along with NCC cadets.
- 6th April: Campus Cleaning Drive involving students and staff by NSS volunteers.
- 9th April: “Asa Bahitie Kiniba” – Programme to encourage purchase of Odia books. Publishing houses and Sahitya Academy will set up stalls in college campuses. Students & staff encouraged to buy Odia books and upload photos.
- 12th April: Organisation of seminars on eminent Odia personalities and garlanding of statues located within HEI premises or nearby areas.
Instructions for Colleges:
- Document all activities with photographs and videos.
- Upload daily on official portal: odiapakhya.com.
- Encourage students to take selfies, create reels and share on social media.
- Submit consolidated report with photos and details of blood units collected (if any).
