Subject: Advance payment towards fuel charges for vehicles used for official purpose.
⛽ Key Highlights of the Order
- Background: Due to ongoing uncertainty in the international petroleum market and the Middle East conflict, most petrol pumps are unwilling to supply fuel to Government Departments on a credit basis.
- New Permission: State Government has authorized all Departments and Heads of Departments to make interest-free advance payments to petrol pumps.
- Advance Limit: The advance payment allowed is equivalent to two months' estimated fuel requirement to ensure hassle-free conduct of official work.
- Security Mandatory: While making the advance, adequate Security Deposit, Bank Guarantee, or similar safeguards must be obtained from the petrol pump as deemed appropriate by the Department.
- Validity: This order is effective immediately and will remain in force until further orders.
