Eligibility Criteria

  • Age Limit: Minimum 21 years and maximum 42 years as on 1st January 2026. Born not earlier than 2nd January 1984 and not later than 1st January 2005.
  • Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST/SEBC/Women/Ex-Servicemen. 10 years for PwD (40%+ disability). Cumulative 15 years for PwD candidates of SC/ST/SEBC.
  • Educational Qualification (Civil): Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised University/Institution OR Associate Member of Institutions of Engineers of India in Civil.
  • Educational Qualification (Mechanical): Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognised University/Institution OR Associate Member of Institutions of Engineers of India in Mechanical.
  • GATE Score: Valid GATE Score in Civil/Mechanical Engineering. GATE 2024, 2025 and 2026 scores only considered. QR-coded score card mandatory.
  • Odia Language: Must be able to read, write and speak Odia with prescribed qualification (Middle School with Odia, Matriculation with Odia medium, Class VII Odia test, etc.).
  • Citizenship: Must be a citizen of India.
  • Marital Status: Must not have more than one spouse living.
  • Health: Good mental condition and bodily health, free from physical/mental defects.

Method of Selection

  • Stage 1 – GATE Score (90%): Valid GATE Score uploaded by candidates is the primary merit basis.
  • Stage 2 – Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates called in phased manner for scrutiny of GATE Score, documents, eligibility and reservation claims.
  • Stage 3 – Interview (10%): Candidates shortlisted at about 2 times the advertised vacancies per category (minimum 5) are called for interview.
  • Final Merit: Aggregate of GATE Score (90%) + Interview Marks (10%). Tie-breaker: Higher Interview marks, then older age.
