Application Fee

• For all candidates (except SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, PwBD, Female, Transgender, Minorities, EBC): ₹500/- (₹400/- refunded on appearing in 1st Stage CBT)
• For SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, PwBD, Female, Transgender, Minorities, EBC: ₹250/- (₹250/- refunded on appearing in 1st Stage CBT)
• Payment Mode: Online only through Internet Banking, Debit/Credit Cards, or UPI
• Refund: Fee refund will be credited to the bank account seeded with Aadhaar number.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• All Posts: Degree from a recognized University or its equivalent.
• Note: Candidates must possess the prescribed educational qualification on or before the closing date of online application. Those awaiting final results are NOT eligible.

Age Limit (as on 01.01.2027)

• Lower Age Limit: 18 Years
• Upper Age Limit: 33 Years (for UR/EWS)
• Age Relaxation: OBC-NCL – 3 Years, SC/ST – 5 Years, PwBD – 10 Years (UR), Ex-Servicemen – As per rules

Exam Pattern

1st Stage CBT (Common for all posts)

2nd Stage CBT

Minimum Qualifying Marks

• UR/EWS: 40%
• OBC-NCL: 30%
• SC/ST: 25%
• PwBD: 2% relaxation in qualifying marks

How to Apply

• Application Mode: Online only through the official RRB website.
• Website: https://rrb.indianrailways.gov.in
• Steps: Create an Account → Fill Online Application → Upload Live Photo & Signature → Pay Fee → Submit.
• Important: Candidates can apply to only ONE RRB. Multiple applications will lead to rejection and debarment.
• Modification: Application details can be modified from 09.11.2026 to 18.11.2026 with a fee of ₹250 per modification.

Important Instructions

• One Application Only: Multiple applications will result in rejection and debarment from all future RRB & RRC exams.
• Live Photo: Candidates must capture a live photo during application; pre-existing photos are not allowed.
• Signature: Must be in running handwriting (not block/capital letters) and uploaded as per specifications.
• Banned Items: Mobile phones, electronic gadgets, study material, etc., are not allowed inside the exam center.
• Negative Marking: 1/3rd mark will be deducted for each wrong answer in CBTs.
• Free Travel Pass: SC/ST candidates can avail free sleeper class railway pass for CBT/DV/Medical Examination.

• SC/ST Certificate (PDF, <400 KB) – for free travel pass

• Educational Qualification Certificates (at DV stage)
• Caste/Category Certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS) – if applicable
• PwBD Certificate (UDID) – if applicable
• Ex-Servicemen Certificate – if applicable
• NOC from present employer – if applicable
