Transfer Admission Timeline (AY 2026-27)
Students and schools must adhere to the following schedule for online transfer admission under SAMS:
Application Process & Key Rules
- Online Application: Students must log in to the SAMS portal at www.samsodisha.gov.in using their existing user ID (mobile number) and password from 2025-26.
- School Selection: Student can choose the Higher Secondary School where they want to take transfer admission.
- Leaving School Verification: The leaving school will verify Name, Roll No, Stream, and Subject combination and provide remarks.
- Nodal Verification: District Nodal Higher Secondary School will verify documents and remark on their authenticity.
- DHSE Order: After verification, DHSE (O) will issue the transfer order. Approval is provisional and not a guarantee of admission.
- HSSLC Collection: Student must collect the Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) from the leaving school and report to the destination school within the specified timeline.
- HSSLC Rule: HSSLC should be issued only after the DHSE (O) transfer order is received.
- Self-Withdrawal: Students who have willingly taken HSSLC without prior DHSE (O) approval will not be eligible for transfer admission.
- Record Keeping: Schools must collect, verify, and keep DHSE (O) Transfer Orders for submission to CHSE (O) during Class-XII Exam 2026 form fill-up.
Selection Criteria
- Admission is subject to vacancy and subject combination availability as per the student's stream. No seat enhancement is allowed.
- Transfer admission approvals at DHSE (O) against vacancies shall be considered purely on a merit basis.
- No special consideration will be given based on reservation or weightage.
Eligibility Criteria
- Vacancies in the destination school will be considered in relation to the stream and subjects chosen during Class-XI admission.
- Transfer admission is not applicable to students from Boards / Councils other than CHSE (O).
- Student must have been admitted through CAF during the scheduled e-Admission period of 2025-26.
- Transfers allowed only under special cases: parental transfer, retirement, death, marriage of a female student, or serious medical reasons as per Government Order.
- Out-of-state transfers may be allowed only for parental transfer, retirement, or death, subject to CHSE (O) syllabus match and DHSE (O) approval.
