Clarification on Modified Pay Structure of Elementary Cadre Teachers, Headmasters & Officers

Official clarification issued on implementation of modified pay structure notified vide Notification No.5384/SME dated 12.03.2024.
Main Clarifications (Card Style)
1. Corresponding Cell
The existing pay shall be placed at the corresponding cell in the revised pay level of the pay matrix.
2. Next Higher Cell
If no corresponding cell exists, pay shall be fixed in the next higher cell in the revised pay level.
3. Date of Increment
In both cases, the date of increment shall remain unchanged.
4. Below Minimum Pay
If existing pay is below the minimum of revised pay level, it will be placed at Cell-01. Next increment on anniversary date of placement.
5. No Option Required
No option for exercising option is required as there is no incremental benefit under the modified pay structure.
Effective Date: These clarifications come into force with effect from 12.03.2024.
Earlier instructions vide Letter No.28794/SME dated 19.11.2024 stand superseded.
