What Are the Key Changes?
The Government of Odisha has substituted the existing provisions under Rule 15 regarding Seniority and Select List. The new inserted sub-rules are as follows:
(เฌ) Seniority (เฌธିเฌจିเญเฌฐିเฌି)
Seniority of teachers will now be determined based on the position in the Select List (เฌฎเฌจୋเฌจเญเฌจ เฌคାเฌฒିเฌା) prepared for recruitment.
(เฌ) Select List Preparation (เฌฎเฌจୋเฌจเญเฌจ เฌคାเฌฒିเฌା เฌช୍เฌฐเฌธ୍เฌคୁเฌคି)
If a candidate is appointed from the Select List, and due to any reason (such as not joining, death, or disqualification) a vacancy arises, the next candidate in the Select List will be appointed as per the rules. However, this appointment will not change the Seniority order among the teachers who were already appointed from the original list. The seniority of all appointed candidates will remain exactly as per their original position in the Select List.
